Following on from its success in 2007, this popular stage is upgraded, bouncier and funkier than ever!!

This year is going to bigger and better than ever before. With a new stage, improved lighting, awesome sound and some wicked decor. The most inspiring and uplifting stage of the festival.

Kids and family shows, workshops, games, competitions, sand pit, bubbles, Rinky Dink, lots of colourful characters and all culminating in the Grand parade on Sunday at 4pm.

A grassy green arena (we hope!) to play games, blow bubbles, dance to the Rinky Dink and watch shows involving death defying feats and sillyness from Clowns and flaming dragons.

With a tent reminiscent of old school raves in the woods we bring you the finest dance music pumped through a beautiful state of the art Funktion-One sound system.

Bringing the best of local, UK and international film making talent to the Workhouse Festival with over 32 hours of feature, documentary and short film screenings throughout the weekend.

A new stage for 2008 - take a trip down to the bottom of the field for an unexpected surprise. There will also be some buskers slots available on this stage.


The Healing Area moves into the Courtyard Gardens and offers a gentle space with more diversity of treatments and the added capacity for Workshops and classes, give it a try.

Come and enjoy some of the finest organic Ale, Lager, Cider, Wines and Spirits @ Wonder Bar. Wonder Bar have worked with Stonehouse Brewery to produce the festivals very own Ale. Even more amazing is that £1 from every pint of the Workhouse Ale goes directly into the building fund. We aim to sell 1,000 pints over the weekend, with a target of £1,000 raised. Triban Solar Stage and Vegan Cafe is a non-hierarchical, not for profit organisation, based in Cardiff, where we run a monthly night, 'Triban Tribal' and are fresh from hosting our own yearly Spring Gathering at the beautiful community of Coed Hills. We are completely solar and wind powered, with up to 1KW of solar panels powering our up to 2K solar rig. Our vegan cafe will have chai, a selection of other hot drinks, and a wide range of vegan snacks. MySpace.
